Swiss pegs are valued for their comfortable convex shape and Hill pegs for their elegant simple design. They are made completely from a single piece of material(there are no attached rings, collars, or inlay) to minimize future issues.

The Nero material is made in the USA from eucalyptus paper and thermosetting resins. It is pure black and mimics the finest Madagascar ebony. It is hypoallergenic and not susceptible to humidity or temperature change. The surface is impermeable to sweat and body fluids and therefore very easy to clean. 

The dimensions of these pegs are:

Shaft Length: 73 mm

Diameter of Shaft at Collar: 11.5 or 13 mm, 1:30 taper (Shafts are not turnable with normal peg shapers). The reamer for the pegbox must be used to create the correct peg head projection.

Thickness of Head: 5 mm (at narrowest part)

Overall Length: 110 mm

These pegs are not drilled or cut and polished on the ends, so we recommend installation by a qualified luthier. The shafts of the pegs are finished dimensions and require no turning like traditional pegs. Installation guide is available on request.
